Locks of Love 1
ESCONDIDO, CA - Salon's project exceeds lofty goal
The Loft
Hair Design in Escondido discovered lots of love for
Locks of Love. Celebrating a recent award, owner Shawna
Cruise and her crew challenged the community to donate
200 inches of hair in March for the charity that
provides wigs for children suffering long-term medical
hair loss. Goal easily surpassed. Stylists clipped the
hair of 44 donors for free, and 11 other people sent in
at least 10 inches of hair. All told, The Loft has a box
of 750 inches of hair to send to Locks of Love. "We were
completely overwhelmed and pleased with the community's
reaction," said Cruise. "It was beyond any of our
expectations." |

ESCONDIDO, CA - Salon celebrates some good news with
a good deed .
Shawna
Cruise wants to celebrate some good news with a good
deed. Cruise owns The Loft Hair Design & Skin Care, just
named by Salon Today magazine as one of the 200
fastest-growing salons in the country. To say she's
excited would be an understatement. "I'm proud of our
achievement. I want to stand on the highest mountain and
share it," said Cruise. And share, she is. Cruise is
celebrating the award with the Loft 200 Charity
Challenge, an effort to collect at least 200 inches of
hair for Locks of Love. That charity provides wigs for
children suffering long-term medical hair loss. The
downtown Escondido salon will provide a free haircut and
a certificate of appreciation for anyone willing to
donate at least 10 inches of their hair between now and
March 31, 2006 . Call (760) 741-5638 |
